We offer the highest level of basketball training in Guelph. IBSA Guelph Academy Training sessions are centrally held at St. Ignatius of Loyola. In July and August we run our training out of West End Community Centre. Register for a Guelph region training program below.

How does it work?​

Our IBSA Guelph Academy is centrally held at St. Ignatius of Loyola, in July and August we run our training out of West End Community Centre. Our comprehensive sessions take place three times a week, featuring dual sessions each day. Catering to different age groups, Group 1 offers early training for ages 8-12, while Group 2 provides later sessions for players aged 13-18. Train once, twice, or 3 times weekly. More training weekly means accelerated skill and athletic development.

Academy Training

Ages:
  • 8-12
  • 13-18
The Academy is our top training program and runs year round. Youth aged 8-18, regardless of skill level, are grouped in sessions running 90 minutes. Our sessions provide purposeful skill development designed to build basketball and athletic fundamentals from the ground up. Each of our training locations offer multiple sessions and days weekly to suit skill level and schedules. Our teaching focus incorporates fundamental teaching breakdowns as well as a variety of game speed repetitions. A unique, high energy atmosphere keeps athletes of all ages highly engaged. Learn more

Jr.NBA Academy

Ages:
  • 4-6
  • 7-9
The IBSA Jr. NBA Academy features a curriculum-based program for beginners that will introduce young athletes to basketball, while fostering a love of play and structured learning. Kids will be able to explore general and sport-specific movement patterns, skill-based games that teach fundamentals and teamwork and structured learning plus play amongst their peers. Learn more
IBSA Basketball runs week-long training camps at each of our training locations. Athletes will be put through a week of purposeful skill development designed to build their key fundamentals. During the mornings, athletes will be put through a variety of skill stations to work on building their fundamental skillset. In the afternoon, athletes will be tasked with putting these new skillsets into action. Learn more
The same fundamentally driven development program that we provide to our training academy athletes, we also tailor to teams looking for a competitive edge. Team sessions are focused on developing not only the individual athletes, but the team’s strengths and weaknesses as a whole. This means that in addition to individual development, crucial team skills such as offensive spacing, off-ball movement and team defense will also be introduced and emphasized. Learn more
